You have the option to plan flights in advance during times where no controller or AFISO is present at an airfield. The planning is automatically transmitted to the airfield and serves as a notification. This allows the airfield to potentially provide an air traffic controller/AFISO depending on the number of flights planned for a specific time. At the same time, planning facilitates the later addition of the actual takeoff/landing times for you.
To initiate flight planning, you use the function "Plan Flight" on the "My current flights" page.
If you have defined templates, you can optionally load all relevant data from a template. This saves you the effort of filling in each field individually. All data loaded from the template can still be edited before submission.
Define templates for regular flight plans to transmit planning or takeoff/landing reports more quickly.
The current day's date is proposed by default as the planning date. Please refer to our guidelines on using date values for quick entry.
Select the desired airfield from the drop-down list that you want to use . By default, the standard airfield set for your user profile is proposed. The planning will be transmitted to this airfield.
Select the aircraft from the drop-down list that you want to use for this planned flight.
If the aircraft is not yet created in your profile, select the option "New Aircraft". You will then have the opportunity to create a new aircraft. For this, you will need the registration mark, the ICAO aircraft type, and the maximum takeoff weight in kilograms (MTOM).
If the aircraft is already included in our central aircraft database, the type and weight will be automatically pre-filled. Please only change these values if you are certain they are incorrect. In this case, please send us a scan or photo of the noise certificate to noise@airport-software.com. The same applies if the aircraft is not yet included in our central aircraft database.
Submitting the noise certificate in advance allows for faster processing and billing at the airfield, as the required data is already available.
