Plan future flight (optional)

Advance notice of a flight during times where no controller or AFISO is present

Last updated 1 year ago

You have the option to plan flights in advance during times where no controller or AFISO is present at an airfield. The planning is automatically transmitted to the airfield and serves as a notification. This allows the airfield to potentially provide an air traffic controller/AFISO depending on the number of flights planned for a specific time. At the same time, planning facilitates the later addition of the actual takeoff/landing times for you.

To initiate flight planning, you use the function "Plan Flight" on the "" page.

Use a template (optional)

If you have defined templates, you can optionally load all relevant data from a template. This saves you the effort of filling in each field individually. All data loaded from the template can still be edited before submission.

Define templates for regular flight plans to transmit planning or takeoff/landing reports more quickly.

Date of flight and airfield

Select the desired airfield from the drop-down list that you want to use . By default, the standard airfield set for your user profile is proposed. The planning will be transmitted to this airfield.

Aircraft

Select the aircraft from the drop-down list that you want to use for this planned flight.

Submitting the noise certificate in advance allows for faster processing and billing at the airfield, as the required data is already available.

Type of flight

The type of flight determines which additional information is required. Please select an option from the drop-down list:

  • Arrival to ... Select this option if you are conducting a cross-country flight from another airfield and intend to land at the selected airport

  • Local flight at ... Select this option if you intend to conduct a local flight at the selected airport.

  • Arrival - T&Go - Departure at ... Select this option if you intend to perform one or more touch & gos at the selected airport without conducting a full stop landing.

Times and # of landings

Depending on the selected type of flight, provide the following additional required data:

Through the selection of LOC / UTC in the menu, you can configure whether all times are displayed or recorded in local time or UTC for your user profile. Switching between them is possible at any time.

  • Arrival to ... You need to specify the departure airport and the expected landing time. Please also select the planned number of landings.

  • Departure from ... You need to specify the expected departure time and the destination airport.

  • Local flight at ... You need to specify the expected departure and landing times. Please also select the planned number of landings.

  • Arrival - T&Go - Departure at ... You need to specify the departure airport, the expected first landing time, and the final destination airport. Please also select the planned number of touch & gos.

Submit planned flight

The current day's date is proposed by default as the planning date. Please refer to our for quick entry.

If the aircraft is not yet created in your profile, select the option "New Aircraft". You will then have the opportunity to create a new aircraft. For this, you will need the registration mark, the , and the maximum takeoff weight in kilograms (MTOM).

If the aircraft is already included in our central aircraft database, the type and weight will be automatically pre-filled. Please only change these values if you are certain they are incorrect. In this case, please send us a scan or photo of the noise certificate to . The same applies if the aircraft is not yet included in our central aircraft database.

Select "Report planned flight to ..." to save and submit the planning. You will receive a confirmation via e-mail. On the "" page, you can edit, delete, or submit associated times on the day of the flight.
